YVES LAROCK
Back in 2007 the whole world fell in love with Yves Larock and his infectious summer grooves with ‘Rise Up’ – a Caribbean-infused dancefloor smash hit which devastated the charts securing the number one slot across 20 countries. The single signed to Universal, Ministry of Sound and 27 other labels went platinum in Spain selling over 40,000 copies there. His follow-up single ‘Zookey’ went on to become another massive hit with 150,000 copies sold in France alone.
There was no standing still for Yves, as he continues to produce tracks at an obsessive pace. ‘Girl’, ‘Until Tomorrow’, ‘Don’t Turn Back’, ‘The Running Man’, ‘Manego’, ‘Without Love’ and more released under his own label ‘Millia Records’ proving without question his status as one of the most prolific producers in the world. His music regularly finds pride of place in Tiesto’s bag of tricks as well as that of David Guetta, Paul Oakenfold and Pete Tong to mention a few. A string of releases, multiple world tours, and 40 million YouTube views later, Yves Larock’s style is still as addictive as ever. Although a respected founding member of the ‘Africanism’ Collective together with Martin Solveig and Bob Sinclar – Yves is not one to sit on his laurels. Indeed Larock is a multi-curious and rebellious artist always seeking to push the boundaries further by evolving and experimenting into new musical realms – most recently with tunes such as ‘The Zoo’ or ‘If You’re Lonely’. As a true trend-setter his live shows are nothing short of amazing and his DJ sets are as energetic as they come. His ability to connect with the audience has seen him grace the biggest clubs around the world from Space Ibiza to the streets of the 3 million party goers of the Brazilian Carnival of El Salvador. And yes, the revolution has been televised – from Swiss Mountain tops via holographic technology that is when in 2013 Yves paved the way to a world premiere once again in association with Dutch beer super brand Heineken. Yves Larock has made countless TV appearances from the Coke sessions in the Middle East to Big Brother Brazil. And if after that you have still managed to miss him fear not – his radio show ‘Millia Rock’ hits some of the world’s hottest radio stations on a weekly basis.
